But waking up at 1 & 3 am, still takes its toll the next day. Now I’m used to going to sleep between 10:30 pm & 12:30 am. Sure it’s a pain to have to live that way, but it’s better than waking up 4 times at night. So, I’m no expert but I see a correlation between that and taking the melatonin because without it I only wake up at 3 am or 1 & 3:30 am. Because I tried more than once thinking that maybe it was because I was doing something wrong, so I tried different times and spaced it out a different amount of days in between, and no matter what combination I tried, I’d be up at 1:30 am and then again at 2, 3 & 4 am (ish). When I first tried to take it to fall asleep at a decent time, sure it made me sleepy, but then I’d wake up about 4 times during the night. Or I don’t know, is this like a permanent side effect of becoming a parent? Someone, please enlighten me! 😩įor the longest time, I’ve had a hate relationship with melatonin. I mean becoming a mom for the first time took its usual toll, but I think that’s when my sleeping issues took root.
